Honest registered agent representation in Texas for $99/year. Includes the address used on filings, same-day scanning of legal mail, and reminders for state deadlines.

A note on mail and privacy: the agent role means we accept service of process plus official Texas correspondence on your behalf, with our address standing in for yours on public filings. What we are not is a mail forwarding company. Served documents get scanned to you same day at no charge, and so do three government letters per year; past those, any other item you ask us to scan runs $15, and physical originals ship at actual postage.

Texas rules this covers

Texas law attaches two designations to every filing entity: a registered agent and a registered office. Both trace to the Texas Business Organizations Code, both are continuous obligations, and both are public record. Here are the actual rules.

What it costs and what's included

Registered agent service in Texas: $99/year. It renews automatically each year at $99 unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel in your online account.

State fees are shown separately from our fee. We collect them with your order and pay them to the state at cost when we file.

What the plan leaves out

• A virtual mailbox or mail forwarding. Everyday business mail is charged per piece to view, legal letters beyond the 3 a year are charged per piece, junk mail is discarded and packages are refused.
• Filing your annual report. That is a separate service with its own fee plus the state's fee.
• State filing fees of any kind.
• Forming the company, or any amendment or reinstatement filing.

Change of registered agent to us: $0 our fee + $15 Texas filing fee = $15. The registered agent service itself is $99/year.

What happens if I do not have a registered agent?

The Texas Secretary of State may forfeit your entity's right to transact business. Courts may authorize alternative service of process. You could face a default judgment in a lawsuit without ever receiving notice.

How much does it cost to switch my registered agent to you?

$15 today: our fee for the filing is $0 and Texas charges $15 to file the change. Registered agent service is $99/year.

What is a Public Information Report?

Texas requires entities to file a Public Information Report (PIR) alongside the franchise tax report. The PIR confirms your registered agent, officers/directors, and other entity details. It is filed through the Comptroller's WebFile system.

Can I be my own registered agent in Texas?

Yes, if you are a Texas resident with a physical street address in the state and available during standard business hours. You can also appoint any other Texas resident or an entity authorized to do business in Texas.

Can I use your address for mail beyond legal documents?

When you sign up for our Texas registered agent service, the address we provide is for legal and official correspondence. We accept service of process, subpoenas, Secretary of State notices, tax documents, compliance reminders, and court filings. We also scan up to three pieces of government or general mail per year at no extra charge. Beyond that, additional scans or shipping are billed per piece; physical forwarding is not part of the base plan. What we will not accept: packages, Google Maps verification postcards, Amazon verification letters, or third-party verification mailings. The address is not a virtual office or general mailbox. What does a registered agent receive?

Service of process (lawsuits, subpoenas, court orders), correspondence from the Texas Secretary of State, franchise tax notices from the Comptroller, and other official documents directed to your entity.

Renewals, cancellation and refunds

Registered agent service renews automatically for another year on each renewal date, unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel in your online account, or give written notice at least 30 days before the renewal date. Renewal reminders go out about 60 days ahead.

You can cancel at any time from your online account or by contacting support. Cancelling does not by itself remove us as registered agent on the state record; a change of registered agent or resignation filing does that.

Anything already filed with the government is not refundable. Registered agent fees are not refundable once we or our partner have been appointed with the state. State fees are not refundable once paid to the state.
